Do airports still have luggage carts?

2023-10-07

The airports typically provide luggage carts for passengers to use. These luggage carts, also known as baggage trolleys, are available in most airports around the world. Travelers can usually find them in various locations within the airport, such as near baggage claim areas, parking lots, rental car facilities, or at designated cart stations.

To use a luggage cart, passengers often need to deposit a coin or token into a slot on the cart. Once the cart is in use, the coin or token can be retrieved upon return of the cart to a designated collection area, encouraging passengers to return the carts for reuse.

However, some airports have transitioned to more modern systems, such as electronic or automated luggage carts, where passengers pay for the cart's use via credit card or by using a mobile app, and carts are automatically released when the payment is made. These systems may vary from one airport to another.

It's important to note that the availability and cost of luggage carts can vary between airports, so it's a good idea to check the specific policies and procedures at the airport you'll be traveling through to ensure you have access to luggage carts if needed.
